The Design Brief
Chobani—a key-player in the Greek yogurt market—currently has two plant-based offerings, “Chobani Coconut” and “Chobani Oat.” How can we make our packaging appeal to more plant based consumers? This must be applied to three products; the flip-cup, fruit on the bottom, and drinkable yogurt containers.
Here were some basic concepts we had for the packaging. The main goal for the forms was to make them appear plant based, rather than make them look like just any other yogurt container
Here we have some mockups, CAD and prototypes of the final design solution. We were inspired by Greek pottery and planters, so we were aiming for a very curvy design in the packaging forms.
The main benefit of our flip cup and fruit on the bottom design was that it was able to hold the spoon in place - even when the container was empty. This was not something we were able to do with Chobani's current model.
